External Financial Award Schemes

The AMP Education Bursary offers monetary assistance to diploma and degree students from low-income families. The bursary award seeks to recognise the recipients' academic achievements, lessen their financial load and be a source of motivation for them to strive harder in their education.

Criteria

  • Applicant must be a Singapore citizen
  • Gross monthly household income not exceeding $3,500 or Per-Capita Income not exceeding $700 per month

Grant Quantum

  • Diploma: $500 each
  • Degree: $1,000 each

The DesignSingapore Scholarship is for students and industry professionals who intend to pursue full-time studies. The scholarship is designed to attract talent, promote design education and mentor design thinkers in the various design sectors.

Students who are pursuing a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate design-related degree at a reputable local or overseas institution are eligible for the scholarship application.

Grant Quantum

  • Full tuition fee
  • Tuition-related compulsory fees, such as academic facilities access fee subsumed under tuition fee
  • Annual living allowance, to cover costs of living in country of study
  • Pre-studies allowance, to cover costs of settling-in such as purchase of warm clothing
  • Developmental course allowance, to cover costs of additional developmental activities such as co-curricular courses, conferences and seminars
  • Travel allowance, to cover airfare to and from country of study

The LBKM Bursary provides financial assistance to needy students with family Per-Capita-Income (PCI) not exceeding $2,000 or Gross Household Income (GHI) not exceeding $8,000.

Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA) invites applications for the MTFA Founders’ Scholarship & MTFA Bursary for Muslim students who are pursuing full-time studies in institutes of higher learning. MTFA hopes to engage successful candidates throughout their course of study to motivate them to take the lead in serving the needs of the Muslim community, and to nurture in the recipients a spirit of volunteerism and charity as exemplified by the founders of MTFA.

Criteria

Bursary

  • Muslim Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who is pursuing a full-time post-secondary education in institutes of higher learning (Diploma and Degree)
  • Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) ≤ $4,000 and Per Capita Income (PCI) not exceeding $400
  • Diploma students graduating in 2021 are not eligible to apply for the Bursary

Scholarship

  • Muslim Singapore Citizen who is currently pursuing a full-time undergraduate education (Degree)
  • Household income not exceeding $4,000 per month
  • Applicants who have applied for the Bursary are not eligible to apply for the Scholarship

*Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a selection interview. Successful applicants will be invited to attend a presentation ceremony to receive the award.

Grant Quantum

  • Up to $10,000 per year per recipient for the Scholarship. Each scholarship is tenable for one year
  • Recipients may apply again in the subsequent year provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria and sustain good academic achievements

The Singapore Buddhist Lodge Education Foundation Bursary Award aims to provide assistance to students from low-income families, enabling them to continue with their education, in hope that they may become useful citizens of the community.

Criteria

  • Existing Singaporean/ Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) students
  • pursuing full time diploma/ degree studies in NAFA
  • No restriction on race, religion or gender
  • Applicants should come from low-income families
  • Must be good in conduct and academic results
  • Have not received any scholarships, merit awards or bursaries for the same academic year, either from NAFA or an external organisation

The Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Arts & Cultural Award is for Singapore citizens or PRs pursuing full-time/ short-term arts and cultural courses locally or abroad. The Sivadas-HEB Education Fund provides financial assistance to Hindu students from low-income families who are pursuing tertiary education. NAFA students who meet the criteria can apply for a Tuition Subsidy/Education Grant to meet part of the tuition fee costs.

Criteria

  • Students pursuing first MOE-funded diploma course at NAFA
  • Must be Singapore citizens or permanent residents
  • Must be Hindus
  • Monthly household per capita income must not exceed S$1,900

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview.

Grant Quantum

The Tuition Subsidy will be limited to a maximum of 50% of the yearly tuition fee subject to a maximum as determined by the Sivadas-HEB Education Fund Committee.

The Education Grant is a one-time award, up to a maximum of $1,500.
